An Abundance of Peace

You know that wonderful feeling when a prayer of yours is answered? It strengthens your faith. Well, that is how I feel this morning. A prayer of mine has been answered. I just wanted to share this praise report with everyone. I have been praying about something for many months now. And I was very specific in my prayers. God is a God of details, He cares about every one of them and so I believe we should pray specific prayers. And God not only answered those SPECIFIC prayers but He exceeded my desires.

This weekend, some things unfolded and I knew my prayers could very well be answered. But I wanted to have the peace of God about this situation. So, I prayed that the Lord would give me His perfect peace about this so that I would know it was His will…and He did! I truly felt an abundance of peace! And after speaking with my pastor about it, it was confirmed.

I just wanted to encourage someone to continue praying for your situation. Pray specific prayers.

I was reading Psalm 37 this morning and a few verses really stuck out to me. Verses 4-5 and verse 11.

" v. 4 Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
v. 5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
v. 11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace." 

The abundance of peace! With the will of God, comes an abundance of peace.

This was a simple thought, but it is so incredibly true. When it is the will of God, we will feel His peace about it. Not just a little peace, but an ABUNDANCE of peace. He is the Prince of Peace.
