Happy Thanksgiving!

Wow! I still cannot believe it is already Thanksgiving. This year has flown by so very fast. And just like every year, we have been through many seasons. Like the Bible says in Ecclesiastes 3:

1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

I am so grateful for every season and that God truly does make everything beautiful in His time. 2020 was a time of self-reflection and consecration as we all stayed home. But this year, we have begun to get back to some level of “normalcy” if there is such a thing anymore. I just don’t want to forget everything that God has done for me. In the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, it is easy to get caught up in everything else that we can lose sight of the true meaning. Last year as our world was in chaos, I felt such a thankfulness for even the smallest of things. It helped me to remember just how blessed I really am. And I want to remind myself to stay thankful for everything no matter how big or small.

In a world that is constantly telling us we need more, than we can never be satisfied, let’s be the ones who will, “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.” -Psalm 100:4-5

So give thanks for another day, for the breath in our lungs, for God’s mercy, for Calvary, for our health, for our homes, our families, our jobs, our church family, this wonderful Truth, and for the good food many of us will enjoy today! Can I get an amen? Lol.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving! I love and appreciate each one of you! If you’d like to share, comment down below what you are most thankful for this year. God bless! 🙂

  1. Praise the Lord, thank you sister for the special thought and for reminding us to be thankful even on the small things. God has been faithful to us he has kept us under the shadow of his Mercy and placed us upon his Rock. I am thankful for the health of my family and my church family that I’m able to enjoy their company.
