Missions Conference 2023

Hi everyone! I hope you’re all doing well! We had our annual Missions Conference last month from March 7th-9th. Missions Conference is always a blessing and a great reminder that we are all called to reach the lost.

Every year, the Branch work churches set up Missions boards showing what the Lord is doing at their churches. It is always exciting seeing everyone’s boards and seeing how God is moving in our cities and around the world.

The elementary choir from Truth Tabernacle Christian School (TTCS) sang on the first evening of the conference. They did a great job and it was awesome to see the next generation singing and worshipping the Lord.

On the first night, Evangelist Daniel Ballinger preached a message titled, “The 29th Chapter of the Book of Acts.” And what a message that was! Bro. Ballinger preached about how we are living in the 29th chapter of the book of Acts. Bro. Ballinger also sang and played the guitar. He shared his testimony with us and it was powerful.

Truth Tabernacle records their services, so I was able to download the preachings and I will be including them in this post!

On Wednesday evening, the junior and senior high choir from TTCS sang, “In His Name (En Su Nombre).” It was a beautiful song and Indiana Bible College sings it if you would like to go listen 😄

Elder Vaughn Morton preached that evening on, “The Spirit of Evangelism.” This was the evening our church helped serve for the ministers’ dinner. But I’m so glad they recorded their services so that I could go back and listen! I am so thankful for our Elder, we have a goodly heritage and the spirit of evangelism is critical during these last days.

It was an honor to be able to serve the ministers again this year and it was fun to be doing it with my friends! Once again, Truth Tabernacle did an amazing job decorating and preparing the food. This year I did not get as many photos of the dining hall but the ladies at Truth Tabernacle did an AMAZING job preparing a charcuterie board 😋

Like last year, on the final evening of Missions Conference, Pastor Miraflor of Truth Tabernacle had the Branch work pastors and pastor’s wives go up to the platform. He presented each church with a gift to be used for outreach and evangelism and he honored all of the pastors and their wives.

On the last night of Missions Conference 2023, Elder Don Hyler preached an anointed message titled, “An Uncommon Burden.” This message was so needed and very impactful. I plan to relisten to this preaching many more times. We need to have an “Uncommon Burden” for the lost. We truly are in the last days, and an uncommon burden will move us to do things for the Kingdom of God instead of staying comfortable in our comfort zones.

These messages truly convicted me and I felt the sense of urgency in the Spirit to get up and reach the lost. For such were some of us! And had it not been for the Lord and soul winners reaching us, we would still be out there. I am so thankful for this wonderful Truth and we cannot hide this Truth from others. We need to boldly share it and be a witness wherever we go. I was thinking the other day how even the smallest interaction with a person can be used to bring someone to the Lord. We can pass by people in the store, at our workplace, at the park and God could be using us to reach someone in even the smallest interactions. A friendly smile, a simple, “How are you today” or even holding the door open for someone can be the literal door for reaching them.

I read a quote years ago that says,

Be careful how you live. You may be the only Bible some person ever reads.

William J. Toms

I stumbled upon it recently and I wanted to share it because it reminded me how important it is that people see Jesus in us.

I hope you can listen and relisten to the preachings from Missions Conference 2023. I believe this was the best year yet! It is crazy how fast time goes by! It seems like just yesterday we were at Missions Conference 2022 lol. But thank you so much for reading! I truly appreciate you all and your patience with me (as I know my posts have not been super consistent 😅). God bless you! 😁

  1. Wow Mija that was awesome!!! Those were some great messages by some very truly anointed men of God !! I second you on the fact of being Thankful for Elder Morton!!! I also agree with you on this was the best year yet and I truly believe the Best is yet to come!!! I am excited to see what God has in store for us this year!!!

It is revival time and reaching the lost is all that should be on our minds because God did not pull us out of the furnace and save our souls for us to just stay in the building and keep it to ourselves!!! We have to take this Truth into the highways and byways and get out of our comfort zone and reach the lost!!! They deserve to be set free the same way we were!!!!

I am thankful for You Mija always doing these blogs and taking time out of your busy schedule to do this!!!! It is encouraging to get on here and read what you have to say about what God is doing!!!!
    Love and Appreciate You Mija!!!🙌❤️😊
