Our 16th Anniversary

Praise the Lord! I wanted to share our church’s recent 16th Anniversary services and celebration that we had at the end of February. We originally planned to celebrate 15 years in 2022, but we had to change the dates and instead celebrated our 16th Anniversary this year 😊

For those of you who have been a part of putting together a church anniversary or any church event for that matter, you know the amount of work and preparation that goes into it. It took a lot of work but it was so worth it because everything turned out beautifully. From the ushers, greeters, parking help, decorators, to the cleaners, nursery help, and marketing team we all worked together in unity and I feel blessed to have been able to help.

We designed eight collages to display in the foyer. Unfortunately I did not get a photo of the eighth one or of the beautiful balloon arches that Sis. Erica added after putting the collages on the easels. We also put together programs to give out to everyone who attended the services. Everything came together and looked wonderful!

On Friday evening, we honored our pastor and pastor’s wife with flowers and a gift on behalf of the church. They are the best and I am so thankful for them! ❤️

Bro. Rocha, from Tulsa, Oklahoma, preached on Friday night about, “God’s Gift.” He preached an awesome message about God’s gift of a pastor. Bro. Rocha also gave our pastor an incredible gift, a wooden pen made from a tree that was at the property in Topeka, Kansas where the Holy Ghost was poured out in the early 1900s. The building that was there was burned down but he said the trees there are over 100 years old. Bro. Rocha was able to take some of that wood and get it made into a pen that he presented to Pastor Sosa. He said the pen was 122 years old and is a witness of when the Holy Ghost was poured out in Topeka, Kansas in 1901.

Unfortunately I do not have the preachings from every service that weekend, but someone shared the preaching from Friday night with me and I am including it below if you’d like to listen! 😄

On Saturday afternoon, we presented the church leaders and their wives with flowers and a gift. We love and appreciate our church leaders and their families. We have amazing pillars to look up to! The ministry that was there Saturday prayed for the leaders and their wives and our pastor and pastor’s wife 😊

Bro. Miraflor, from Fresno, CA, preached on Saturday evening. I did not get a photo of him but his message was from John 1:1-6 on, “A Man Sent From God.”

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. 
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 
There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

After service on Saturday, there was a minsters’ dinner in the fellowship hall. The ladies at our church did a beautiful job decorating the hall and making the balloon arch!

For the last service of our anniversary services, Bro. Aguilar from Fresno, CA preached.

After service on Sunday, there was a taco truck for everyone to eat dinner. We all ate and then fellowshipped afterwards. Many of us took advantage of the beautiful balloon arch and took pictures together ☺️

The whole weekend was amazing and I am so grateful that we were able to celebrate the church and our wonderful pastor and pastor’s wife. We are truly blessed with great leadership and a great church family that the Lord has given us 🤍 And I am so excited to see what the Lord is going to do in Clovis! We are still renting out the building on Pollasky, and it has been a blessing. I know there is more to come! We are heading into revival services beginning Sunday, and I will be sharing what God is doing along the way!
